Interesting to find out why Albert gave up the throne so easily to Souma, not anything I was expecting at all. Quite the secret they were keeping. I really liked hearing how Carmine warmed up to Souma straight away while the other aristocrats did not like his reforms, and it seems like even in that timeline Liscia had feelings for Souma.

I liked how confident Souma was about him making sure Liscia got away before anything happened to her because their bodies weren't found, it must have been reassuring to hear that as they probably had held to the idea that they had ended up letting Liscia die once already. Also Carmine believing Albert's story and devoting all his energy into his plan is also impressive, I'm glad in this timeline as well Carmine and Souma are working together for the benefit of the Kingdom.

I'm glad Souma personally proposed to Liscia even if the order was wrong, it still carries a lot more sincerity him coming out and saying it himself.

The last scene was amusing with Poncho saying he'd pick up arms for Souma, I can't imagine him with weapons, only cooking knives. I completely forgot about Tomoe and was a little surprised when I saw at the end, she didn't really appear much this season unless they skipped over her parts. I wonder if this will get another season.

You’ve picked up on a point with the proposal bit. The “marriage interviews” weren’t supposed to happen until novel 5 (they were inserted here, while we were still in novel 4), and I find that to be a weak point because novel 5 shows Souma start to accept that he can start a family…

And Liscia quite literally gets the D in novel 5.

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 2 years ago

Could have done without the last line as I'm not fond of spoilers no matter how obvious they may be but it's nice to hear Souma does start accepting them as family because he seems to start already in this season.

Typecero • 2 years ago

Kk. Will cut that part out for future people.

One of the big criticisms I have for this anime is it cutting other relationships out.

Sure they can’t put it all in, but when Souma’s policy is “I will use everyone”, cutting out the interpersonal relationships does feel contradictory.

Tomoe has been under the tutelage of the Black-robed Minister, and even has her own bodyguard who she’s on good terms with.

QuadL • 2 years ago

No announcement of another season in the works before the end of this one does not bode well for a future installment next year.

MadMoXie • 2 years ago

Where was that mentioned in the Light novels? Involving Tomoe and Hakyuya?

Typecero • 2 years ago

It's only a very minor bit with Tomoe and Hakyuya. I wouldn't be able to point it out unless I searched through all of Novels 3-4.

Vii X • 2 years ago

Da-mn. What a story. What a seasonal ending. I'm in awe.

Kirito • 2 years ago

The ending of this realistic hero rebuilds the kingdom is so unexpected and really good I did not expected that the last episode would be this good.

So like they didn't gave the throne to souma and made him the prime minister and then kingdom falls apart would be cool to see what happened to them the future souma and Aliscia

Midnight Lore • 1 year ago

Does this actually happen?

N7_Jaeger • 2 years ago

and here comes the bitching about spoilers guy again

Nikola Nikolov • 2 years ago

honestly hes right about not wanting to be spoiled if we do get a 3rd season that moment will not have as much impact as it should now that you have been spoiled about it even thou its predictable and thus anticipated if that makes sense ^_^ that being said i do hope we get a 3rd season this anime was super fun and interesting to watch so far and i would love to see more

Bell Cranel • 2 years ago

Same

Defalution • 1 year ago

I doubt we’ll get another series based on how this ended, love and hate the fin at the end.

MeguminExplosion • 2 years ago

is it a spoiler tho? if season 3 never comes out like no game no life. you wouldnt have known regardless.

QuadL • 2 years ago

What? No Game No Life is getting another season!?

Fuseteam • 2 years ago

no game no life was weirder than what was described about this one tho
"a bit of novel 5 while we're in novel 4" was it?
well no game no life's climax ending was the ending of novel 6 while we only made to novel 3........... yeah that happened

Ned Stark • 2 years ago

Obviously it is a spoiler, where do you think that guy read future story from? It's the light novel. Obviously people will be reading the light novel regardless of whether season 3 is announced. Just because you never read a book, doesn't mean other's can't. For everyone other than you, who can actually read books it's a spoiler.

It's common sense that the only reason he knows future plot is because he got to know it through another medium, and is basically spoiling it here. So whichever medium you chose to continue the story, you have already been spoiled.

Daniel Zhang • 2 years ago

Could be a spoiler for anyone reading the manga after watching the anime.

Kirito • 2 years ago

I'm so curious what happened to that future souma and what happened to them

Samuel Seiichi Inoue • 2 years ago

Ouch... That hurts to remember... I've read the LN because of that already T~T

Truth • 2 years ago

Is it really a spoiler when it doesnt actually reveal anything altering the story line?

Kirito • 2 years ago

I really thought it was just a fairytale legend that story the king was talking about but it actually happened in that timeline so telling it to souma could make a paradox or something that got dark and good so fast they didn't find the body of Aliscia and souma might have escaped with her

T-Murph96 • 2 years ago

Also the whole bridal course last episode was also part of volume 5
The literal middle

Typecero • 2 years ago

it annoyed me so much when I saw that, as if they were doing it to plug time and nothing more.

Kunare • 2 years ago

Damn She's been craving it for so long good for her she finally gets it or I'm pretty sure they would have tied him up.

Calvin Lee • 2 years ago

do you know where a good place would be to pick up the light novel from the end of this episode?

Typecero • 2 years ago

Would recommend Amazon personally. They have up to novel 15 currently.

If you want to go more “high seas”, I would recommend Jnovels

They should have at least up to novel 14.

ANIMETOR • 2 years ago

i think he meant it as in which volume, what chapter ^^

Typecero • 2 years ago

Will fix that now. Volume 5.

Shadowism • 2 years ago

They have up to 15 already. :)

Typecero • 2 years ago

Second reply, start from novel 5 as of this episode.

Shadowism • 2 years ago

To be honest? From Volume 1. You'll understand the plot more deeply and you'll see how MUCH of it was cut, it's astounding to compare.
It's a really great LN!
But, as Typecero said, from Vol 5 is okay.

lumier • 2 years ago

J-novelclub si currently translating the 16 novel so i suggest to go there and start ether way from the fifth novel or from the start which I would more recommend since you get the now the story more

Thrace ecarhT • 2 years ago

Not a spoiler but I'll tag it as such. More of it was left out but hinted at. As the King and Queen are in the castle about to perish, Souma and Liscia show up on the back of a dragon! They were able to escape and live! They grab the King and Queen and the future goes on and is not over yet! The Queen's power is limited to one use per timeline. She can't send memories back more than once so she saves it as long as possible. Thus there is no way for them to know what happened afterwards. But this future still has some hope even though it is bleaker than the current timeline.

Burns • 2 years ago

That's actually very reassuring and nice to know, would be interesting too the different timelines Souma had with Liscia that they are still together even if the kingdom fell. No harem is sometimes good too you know! xD

Thrace ecarhT • 2 years ago

I agree with that sentiment but sadly the dragon is actually a future waifu as well

Saikiatrick • 2 years ago

might be connected to the demon kings name 2

Kunare • 2 years ago

This fully qualifies as Spoiler as it has not taken place in the anime.

Judgment526 • 2 years ago

Tomoe did have that one small part where her ability to understand microbes came in handy I think...she is really underutilized though. ^^;

Bloodyraven54 • 2 years ago

it as souma mentioned at the end, right she is useful but with time as her power grows she will become even more important

ANIMETOR • 2 years ago

weren't that the three eyed people? tomoe told him that the monsters weren't totally chummy with the demons i think, like last season and that was it?

Judgment526 • 2 years ago

I found the part. In episode 10 of this season Souma mentioned that Tomoe helped to find the ideal living environment for a certain specials of gelin from which the primary ingredient needed to create medicine (three-eyedine one or whatever it was called) was extracted. I think that was the only time she was mentioned this season prior this episode.

ANIMETOR • 2 years ago

i see, might have just had my face in my ramen noodles at that moment and missed it haha, thanks

Shadowism • 2 years ago

The three eyed people could see the germs, but Tomoe could get a little of what the gelins (slimes like creatures) were "thinking" and suggested the ideal habitat for them to multiply.

From the LN (the dots are to try to avoid being marked as spam):
Slime creatures like ..gelins were actually.. categorized as plants, ..and she couldn’t communicate.. with them as.. well as animals; but from their ..thoughts, she had still been ..able to learn their ..preferred environment and.. the conditions needed for ...them to multiply.. Now we had... the gelmedics actively.. multiplying in their breeding grounds.

HyperboreanKair∅s • 2 years ago

The 3-eyed people can *see* and thus notice their existence, Tomoe is able to comprehend them and thus gain insight on where exactly would be the best conditions they would live in.

Kunare • 2 years ago

If she can understand germs and communicate with them than she's literally the most powerful and fearsome being in that universe. She practically kill anyone by getting them sick without leaving any traces because she could just direct them to the target and no one would be the wiser.

QuadL • 2 years ago

The Queen though infers that she has been using her powers for quite some time and married multiple people over the course of her many memory transfers until this particular timeline came about.

Kirito • 2 years ago

So many infinite timelines that happened and this timeline where souma accepted the throne is the only good timeline

TheDoubleDeuced • 2 years ago

Can't imagine how she managed to bear the weight of all those catastrophic memories.
